Sign Him Immediately: Chelsea fans are happy as world-class striker joining the Blues

CHELSEA FC have been credited with an interest in the former Shakhtar Donetsk head coach, with Mauricio Pochettino enduring disappointing campaigns at Stamford Bridge this season.

The former PSG and Tottenham boss has not impressed like many had hoped for and has failed to get these young players to gel together enough to challenge for a Champions League place, which is what the board have been hoping for.

And American owner Ted Boehly could be thinking about making a move for a new boss in the summer, and according to journalist Rudy Galetti, Chelsea could consider appointing Roberto De Zerbi as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement ahead of the next season.

The Italian manager is likely to part ways with Brighton at the end of the 2023/24 season with clubs like Chelsea and Bayern Munich looking to appoint him as their next manager.

Emmanuel Petit recently told Genting Casino (h/t Football London) that the De Zerbi is the only man that could replace Pochettino if he were to get sacked.

“I hear critics about Mauricio Pochettino every week, do the fans want him sacked? It’s exhausting for the fans, players and staff to keep changing the manager. Restarting under a new coach again and again and again is tiring. Give time to Pochettino, Chelsea need to stop signing and selling players.”

“If it comes to it, the only manager I can see replacing Pochettino is Roberto De Zerbi, De Zerbi lost half of his Brighton team and still played consistently with his ideologies and got his teams to play good football. If Chelsea are changing their players all the time, he can install a mentality in the club to play a certain way.”

Pochettino is a top boss – but he showed his limitation while at PSG – He cannot take clubs to that next level.

We do not know what will happen at the end of the season – but it is not just the manager that needs to get changed, it is the transfer policy and a number of players that have simply not performed this season.

De Zerbi is a top coach – but we doubt he will be able to do any better than Poch at CHELSEA FC.

Chelsea fans have begged the board to splash the cash and add a big time striker to the side in the summer.

With the fact that Chelsea have been keen to add a world class striker to that attack – there has been alot of speculation in the media regarding a possible move for Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian striker is regarded as one of the very best strikers in world football and a man that has been tipped to make the move to the Premier League, although his latest deal with Napoli had supered the transfer talk a little bit.

However – CHELSEA FC are still keen on a deal for the big man and there has been talk that they will reignite their interest in Osimhen at the end of the season, knowing that a deal worth £112 million will be much more likely

And after seeing Chelsea lose to Man City in the FA Cup – fans have taken to social media and told the board to sign the Nigerian star in the summer – One said: “We need to get Osimhen this summer no excuses.”

Another wrote: “The faster we sign Osimhen and let Jackson play as a winger, the better for us.”

A third added: “Imagine Osimhen as your main striker in that match.”

A fourth commented: “Sell Jackson and bring @victorosimhen9 if not we will never win.”

A fifth replied: “Please find another strike like Victor Osimhen.”

And a final user typed: “If Chelsea had Watkins, Isak, Osimhen, Lattè Lath or any other world-class speedy striker up top today it would have been 5-1.”

There has been so much speculation regarding CHELSEA FC – but one thing is for certain – they need to sign a striker that has the caliber of Osimhen to send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League.

The Germany international joined the club in January 2019, and had been their No1 for much of her time at the club, but this season, she has seen herself displaced by Hannah Hampton and Zecira Musovic.

During her time at the club, Berger has won four Women’s Super League titles, three FA Cups, two League Cups and a Community Shield, while also reaching the Women’s Champions League final in 2021.

Berger began her professional career in Germany at Sindelfingen before making a move to Turbine Potsdam.

“I am incredibly excited to join Gotham FC for this season,” said Berger. “The NWSL is one of the top leagues in the world right now, and I am very excited to compete and be a part of this league.”

A club statement added: “Everyone at Chelsea would like to express their sincere gratitude to Ann for her service to the club, and we wish her every success during her time in the United States.”

“An amazing servant, I’ll always say, I’ve never seen a goalkeeper save penalties like Ann, the best in the world,” Chelsea boss Emma Hayes, who will take over as U.S. women’s national team coach at the end of the season.

“Some of the difficulties she’s had to endure and go through, her own personal health … She has legendary status at Chelsea. But this is football.

‘She wants to play, she wants to go to the Olympics and I admire that about players, and I know she’ll go with our blessing and we wish her the best of luck.”
